Escape the winter chill and nurture your well-being with a blend of gentle movement, deep relaxation and meditation to leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and peaceful.
Join me for this soothing yoga relaxation workshop to embrace tranquility and peace, as you nurture your mind and body. Melt away stress and restore your energy through gentle poses, mindful breathing and guided relaxation.
In this workshop we will be welcoming in Spring with open hearts and peaceful minds. We will use yoga asana and chi-kung movement, to embrace the Spring energy; and use breath, meditation and relaxation to help us reset, reconnect and renew.
In 2022, I undertook my 200-hour Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training. It was a year of ups and downs, a lot of soul-searching, and a great deal of studying! I made a lifelong friend and learned so much about myself in the process.
In 2024, I completed a year-long Advanced Yoga Philosophy and Meditation course, which I now incorporate into my Finding Your Balance workshops.
When I began teaching as part of my training, I quickly found my niche. I am so grateful to the group of willing yogis who joined me on my teaching journey and helped me build confidence with each class. Their feedback and support allowed me to develop what they truly needed.
Within my Complementary Therapy practice, I see clients looking for ways to relax and reduce daily stress. During my yoga studies, I developed a yoga relaxation class that combines gentle movement, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation through guided meditation and Yoga Nidra.
What started as a ten-week trial class has now become Finding Your Balance, a practice dedicated to nourishing your body, mind, and spirit in a gentle, kind, and loving way, helping you find a sense of peace and balance.
In 2023, I moved my weekly classes online, but I found it difficult to balance this with my commitment to therapy and yoga clients. I have since returned to offering in-person workshops locally. Workshop dates will be advertised on my website, in my monthly newsletter, and on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
Our workshop begins by settling ourselves and releasing the tension of the day. I usually include some seasonal information, as Seasonal Yoga is about aligning your movement, diet, and mindset with the season.
If you'd like to read my talk from my final exam on What is Seasonal Yoga, you can view it here.
We will practise a breathing technique or meditation to help bring balance and calmness to the body and mind. The movement section is kind, gentle, and loving, often incorporating yoga asana or Chi Kung, based on the needs of the group. The movement is suitable for nearly everyone, depending on any injuries or range of movement.
We finish with a guided relaxation or Yoga Nidra session, where you’ll lie back and listen as I guide you into a deep state of relaxation and healing for at least 20 minutes.
I’d love to hear from you!
